mani monday: scrapbook scissor nails
June 25, 2012
Happy Monday! I’m so excited to be writing a new weekly column for the Birchbox Blog, and the first post is up today!
Go dig out your old arts and crafts supplies, because I’m kicking the Scotch tape mani up a notch. It’s essentially the same as a traditional tape mani, butĀ so much more fun.
What would you like to see me feature in this new column? Leave your nail art ideas or any questions you’d like me to answer, and I’ll try to incorporate them into a future post!

Hey Anna! First, thanks for all your great posts; I really enjoy seeing your nail ideas and it’s fun to browse around your blog. I have a question for you on this post. I noticed on the birchbox blog entry that you wrote to take off the tape while the polish is still wet. I was wondering if there is a technique to this because every time I’ve tried that (with just regular tape for basic french styles), the color that was done over the tape inevitably gets messed up. It usually stretches/gets strung out and then leaves a disaster behind. But if I wait til it dries, then it creates a bent up ridge where the tape was. Any suggestions on how to fix this little mishap? Also, how long do you wait for your base color to dry before applying the tape? (I am impatient. ; )
