nail art: beyonce’s atlantic city mani
Beyonce is high up on my “I want to be her!” list of celebrities. She’s a trend-setter in every way, nails included (she elevated Nails Inc. Baker Street to a must-have polish when she wore it post-Blue Ivy). I’ve heard some talk about the almond-shaped nails she sported at her Atlantic City comeback concert last weekend, but I want to focus on the colors. Is this the next trend in manis?
First, that ring! Second, what’s happening with her bare pointer finger? Anyone?
I’m not over the accent/status nail yet, but B’s two-toned mani is really fun, especially in such bright colors. Time to try it out myself.
For my Beyonce look, I used Nails Inc. Portobello (orange) on my middle, ring, and pinky fingers and Nails Inc. Notting Hill Gate (hot pink) on my thumb and pointer finger. I have to say, I’m digging this look. The colors are similar enough that it’s not noticeable from afar, but up close the two colors look fresh and unexpected.
I also grabbed two pastels – Essie Lilacism and RGB Dew – for a more subdued look. These colors don’t have quite the same wow-factor as the brights, but I still like it.
What do you think of this two-toned mani? Will you be wearing your nails like Beyonce?

Anywho, I noticed that on her other hand she isn’t even wearing polish on the index finger. I love her mani. I just wish I didn’t work in an office to have more days to sport unique stuff like that.

Those Nails Inc. neons are awesome. I’ve been loving the bright accent nails lately, but haven’t had a chance to try them out because I work in a pretty conservative environment. Might have to try it out with some subtle neutrals (once I snag RGB Dew!).
