Meet Steph, who is crazy smart, fiercely stylish, and by far one of the most caring, supportive people you could ever hope to meet. I’m lucky to know her…and lucky to have access to her incredible nail polish stash. She’s not kidding when she says she has 133 bottles of it. Steph is my nail polish partner-in-crime.

Where are we today? In front of the mecca of all things good! AKA, Ricky’s on Montague Street.
What are you wearing? China Glaze Holly-day, GOSH Gold, and OPI Spark de Triomphe.
(Thumb temporarily unpolished and out of commission due to an unfortunate incident with a knife.)
Salon or do-it-yourself mani? DIY, of course. It’s Brooklyn! I also change my polish at least twice a week. I can’t go to the salon that much. It would kill me to sit there.
Why did you choose these colors? I was inspired by your St. Patrick’s Day post to go green! And glitter just makes everything that much better at all times.
Why do you wear nail polish? I don’t have to worry about it caking in my wrinkles moments later. It doesn’t run in the rain. I don’t have to reapply after half of my latte. I can be sorta hip and old at the same time. It makes me happy.
If you could only wear one polish for the rest of your life, what would it be? Essie Fishnet Stockings. 133 bottles of nail polish later, I continue to be reminded that a good red is all a girl really needs. Both in the glass and on her nails.
