where i’ve been…

January 30, 2012

Have you ever finished an inspiring book or walked out after a movie that really made you think, and then had someone turn to you and ask, “So, how was it?” How do you sum up that kind of experience in a few simple words?

After taking a boat to a van to a plane to another plane to a car, I’m back home in Brooklyn. While I gather my thoughts into something more eloquent than “good” or “great,” ┬áhere are a few photos from the last eight days in our little corner of Guatemala.

a slice of paradise at Villa Sumaya on Lake Atitlan

the view from the yoga studio, where we laughed, learned, fell, and flew

chichicastenango market

the little market girl who wouldn't leave my side

the dock - good for bumpy boat rides and diving into the lake at the crack of dawn

our amazing teachers, who made the week beautiful, challenging, unforgettable

I was a bit camera-happy (how could I not be with that view?), so there will be plenty more to come in the next few days, including some trip-inspired nail art, of course!

It was an incredible week, and I feel like there are good things to come…
